Scholarship and Memorial Funds

The Rosmarie Amstein Scholarship Fund and the Memorial Fund support educational opportunities for the guild. The Amstein Fund awards grants to applicants to support individual education in the fiber arts; the Memorial Fund underwrites special lectures and workshops to enable the guild to invite outstanding leaders in the fiber arts to provide educational opportunities to all guild members.

Rosmarie Amstein Scholarship Fund

The Rosmarie Amstein Scholarship Fund has been established in recognition of the contributions of Rosmarie Amstein in teaching and supporting fiber arts. The objective of the fund is to provide funds for Rocky Mountain Weavers’ Guild members, individually or collectively, to continue study in the fiber arts. Grant money is available to qualified individuals or groups to assist their study to progress beyond their present level of fiber (technical and aesthetic) development. You may make a donation to the scholarship fund by sending a check to the guild treasurer or by paying with Paypal (see link below).

Guild Memorial Fund

The Memorial Fund was established in 1965 “in recognition of Norma Matty’s enthusiasm, devotion, and efforts on behalf of The Rocky Mountain Weavers’ Guild for many years.” The Memorial Fund is used to defray expenses for special projects of interest to the guild members such as exhibits and securing leaders in handweaving and related fields for programs.  A Memorial Fund Committee consisting of the President Elect, Educational Coordinator and Educational Coordinator-Elect administer the fund.  The cover of this book was woven by Iva Carter.

Anyone wishing to donate to this fund in memory of a member, friend, or relative may do so by sending a check to the guild treasurer or by making a donation with Paypal (see link below).
