Outreach Volunteers, Past and Future

Posted by on Feb 13, 2014 in Outreach

The Rocky Mountain Weavers Guild worked 182 hours at the 2014 National Western Stock Show. We got contact information from new people to let them know about our guild and our annual guild sale. With that many hours and all of those people coming by, I am confident that we have educated a great many people. Good Job to all Volunteers!

We have more opportunities coming up:
Broomfield Heights Middle School has asked us to do weaving with 2 classes of 6th graders. We have the plan set but can use volunteers to help execute it. We will train you, you just have to like kids! The date is Thursday, February 20th from 12:00 to 3:00 at the school. Contact Meri Moller, Outreach Coordinator
The Gathering of the Guilds will be held on Sunday, April 27th at the Boetcher Mansion. This is an opportunity so sell your wares. A cost of 15% of your proceeds is requested in lieu of a rental space. Admission is $5 and free to guild members. Many guilds participate. If you are interested, contact Meri Moller, Outreach Coordinator before February 17th.
Greenwood Village is having a 100 year celebration on Saturday, May 3rd from 11:00 – 2:00. They would like to have a weaver and a spinner to demonstrate at their event. The demo loom can be available for this. If you are interested contact Meri Moller, Outreach Coordinator.
