“Spun: Adventures in Textiles”

“Starting May 19, the museum takes a wide-raging look at textiles, from pre-Columbian weavings to modern fiber art, Navajo blankets to an examination of clothing in art and photography in our campus-wide celebration “Spun: Adventures in Textiles”. Drawing on collections throughout the museum as well as loans and interactive on-site creations such as an ever-growing crochet coral reef, “Spun” will offer a full slate of programming. Look for a drop-in textile studio and collaborative projects with artists and creative groups–we’re even growing a garden with plants and flowers that are used to make dye!”
