Audrey and I want to thank every one who volunteered to demonstrate at the 107th National Western Stock Show this year. I got a lot of really good feedback from many people this year. It it truly gratifying that people are still fascinated by what we do as weavers and spinners! All of you did a wonderful job sharing your craft and representing our Guild. I hope all of you enjoyed it and will be ready for next year.
Special thanks go out to Tanya Swegler for creating a display showing how fibers from a variety of animals spin up into varying textures of yarn! The display was a valuable addition to our table at the Stock Show! A big thank-you too goes to Nancy Irlbeck of the CSU Ag program, who donated one of her fleeces for our use at the Stock Show…many young people went home with a tuft from her fleece!
