I’m sending a great big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s Fiber Arts Sale. The sale committee worked tirelessly to make our sale a success. There were many comments on the quality of your work, the new arrangement of the merchandise, and how smoothly everything came together.
Thank You to our artists who came through with $95,657 worth of inventory. 47 weavers, spinners, knitters, felters, basket makers and beaders demonstrated the breadth of our skills. The number of participants was up by five and they were all new members giving our show a try.
Of course we also want to THANK all of you who support the Fiber Arts with your purchases and your time. There were many people who volunteered their time to help with the sale but did not have products in the show. THANK YOU! There were 671 visitors to the show this year which was up by over 100.
We have paid out $22,909 to our artists with an estimated positive balance of $640.
We have been offered by the City of Englewood a new date for next year’s sale. It will be the second weekend in October if the committee approves the dates. So, put your hands to work and let’s create an even better participation rate for next year.
Again THANK YOU to everyone for making this years sale a wonderful experience for all involved. I was so impressed with my wonderful committee whose past experience with the sale made my job so easy as I stumbled through my first year as chairman. (from Jo Ann Patterson-Lavely, Sale Chair)
