Posted by on Aug 3, 2015 in News

The Denver Art Museum is inviting RMWG and interested fiber folks (so yes, friends & spouses are included) to a special lecture on Miao & Hmong culture and costumes at the Denver Art Museum, sponsored by the Asian Arts Dept & Textile Arts Dept.

The lecture is Wed evening, Aug 19, from 6:30 – 8 pm, in the Sharp Auditorium, in the Hamilton Building. It is free.

You do need to RSVP to Mary Davis (Asian Arts Dept), 720-913-0166 or mdavis@denverartmuseum.org.

The following day Thurs, Aug 20, from 11 am – 1 pm, embroiderers from the Denver Hmong community will be demonstrating in the DAM Textile Art Gallery.

Both sponsoring DAM art departments really want to reach out to the Denver fiber community. I am hoping we can help them fill the auditorium, as well as take advantage of this opportunity. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance. — Dale Zitek
