Antique Knitting, Anyone?

Posted by on Aug 27, 2017 in News

If you are interested in getting a knitting study group off the ground, please join other interested Guild members during the break at the September meeting so we can shake out some of the preliminary matters: where and when to meet and how often to meet.

It also would be helpful for you to join the Jock Knitting Study Group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/956242721067720/ as an easy method to collaborate.

I suggest as a topic of study for the first year: deciphering and executing vintage or antique knitting patterns. I’ve browsed a couple of great collections available online: The Antique Pattern Library (http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/html/warm/knitting.htm) and the Knitting Reference Library at Archives.org (https://archive.org/details/knittingreferencelibrary?&sort=date).

I look forward to seeing you in September. — Franki Franklin
