“The Mission of the Rocky Mountain Weavers’ Guild is to encourage excellence, to inspire creativity, and to preserve fiber traditions through education.”

Here are just a few of the benefits available to RMWG members.

  • Monthly Meetings: On the third Saturday of every month from September through May with regionally and nationally-known guest speakers. Social hour begins at 9:00AM, the business meeting begins at 9:30AM, and the program begins at 11:00AM. Visit the Calendar page for a list of programs and workshops. Location, unless otherwise noted, are at the Textile Arts Center in Tamarac Square.

  • Member’s Monthly Newsletter:The Shuttle Scuttle includes weaving and spinning samples and all the fiber arts news.

  • Annual Fiber Art Sale allows a member to show and sell his/her work to the public.

  • Extensive Fiber Arts Library: books, videos, magazines for member check-out.

  • Educational Workshops: half-to-three-day sessions offered at affordable prices!

  • Outreach: demonstrating and teaching the fiber techniques in Denver Community Schools, at the education pavilion at the National Western Stock Show and at metro schools / daycare locations.

  • Study Groups: concentrating on fiber-related topics including weaving and spinning.

  • Equipment Rentals: a variety of fiber related hand tools and at affordable prices, too!

  • Membership Yearbook: Annual directory of members, businesses, officers, bylaws, and guild activity calendar.

  • Mentor Program: matching experienced fiber artists with those who want to learn more.

  • Study Groups: In-depth investigations into weaving, spinning and knitting topics.
