Dances with Wool is a free hand spinning study group that focuses on hand spinning, skills using common or exotic fiber, handling and processing fiber in unique ways including carding, making rolags, dizing for Top, felting wool, along with using tools. Many fiber processing tools are available free during gatherings. You are welcome to visit our web page: We gather on the 2nd and 4th Saturday [‘The Second Dance’] of each month from 9:00 till 1:00 pm. There is no charge to attend our gatherings or workshops. During most months, on the 4th Sat. gathering we offer a 50 minute mini-workshop on hand spinning or other fiber related topic. We welcome all hand spinners regardless of their hand spinning skills.

‘Dances with Wool’ and ‘The Second Dance’ gatherings have moved.

‘Dances with Wool’ has moved thanks to our generous friend Dave Cheadle. We have followed his Faith Community Center to their a new location. The Faith City Center Community has become, South Broadway Center, 4356 South Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113. The new location, one building, a double store front, is on the East side of the street and in the middle of the block. It is located between Quincy and Radcliff Streets (running east and west).

Dances with Wool gathered at our new location today, October 24th, for the first time. The gathering was very well attended. We continue to gather using the same schedule on the second and fourth Saturday mornings of each month. Our gatherings start at 9:00 am and we continue till 1:00 pm. Once a month on the 4th Saturday morning, we host a mini-workshop, from noon to 1:00 pm.

Our next gathering is, November 14th, Sat. is 9:00 am till 1:00 pm and is
‘Dances with Wool’ 4th Birthday Celebration.
We will gather, spin together, enjoy each other’s company, sharing snacks and each spinner is asked to bring one ‘fiber gift’ to help us celebrate with a White Elephant Gift Exchange. We will also, of course, have a special fiber related treat as well.

About parking. At our new location, because we gather early, we park, literally, in front of our new location and long South Broadway and because we gather in the morning, most of the street parking is open. If parking is a question, please emails me.

To find our new location, use mapquest.com, enter our location and zip code. Don’t forget, we also have a web page, www.danceswithwool.org

Please bring your wheel or spindle, a snack to share a beverage for yourself and spend an enjoyable and interesting morning with a gathering of dedicated hand spinners. If you have questions please contact our one of our gathering coordinators: Chris Perlmutter danceswithwool@outlook.com or B. A. Johnston Jefferson Farms Jefferson Farms
