Spring Workshops Now Open to Members of All Guilds

Judy Lepthien, the RMWG Education Coordinator, announced this week that the RMWG workshops in February and March are now open to members of all guilds.  Please see the Programs & Workshops link for full descriptions of the workshops.  In February,  Nadine Sanders is teaching a half-day workshop called “Warping on a Shoestring”, and a two-day workshop called “Weaving that Sings”.    Peggy Doney is teaching two one-day workshops called “Spinning a Fabulous Yarn” and “Triad Dyeing” in March.

The Lustre of Silk–The Excitement of Color

Karen Selk’s Silk Kaleidoscope workshop inspired all the participants to rush home and try brave new combinations of color and structure on their looms.  We learned not only about the Asian heritage of silk production, but also about the psychology and interactions of colors.   Here are a few photos from the workshop…..
