John Marshall Trunk Show Help Needed

John Marshall is here in September doing our Memorial Workshop(s) and lecture. They extend over two weeks. The Guild has picked up responsibility to have workers at the Trunk Show which will be at Shaver-Ramsey Gallery, 2414 East Third Ave., Denver, CO (Cherry Creek). We need the following times covered:

Thursday Sept. 15 – 6-8 – Reception
Friday Sept. 16 10 – 2; 2 – 6 – monitor the merchandise and handle sales
Saturday Sept. 17 10 – 2; 2 – 6 – monitor the merchandise and handle sales
Sunday – Sept 18 11 – 2; 2 – 5 – monitor the merchandise and handle sales.

It would be great if we could get two people for each shift. I also need someone to be responsible for totaling up all the sales and making sure it matches to the merchandise and get the money/charge slips to Dale Zitek or Coralee Eisner.

Thanks for your support and help.

Outreach at Cider Days

Posted by on Aug 25, 2016 in News

It is almost that time of year for the annual Lakewood Cider Days Festival. We are looking for weavers, spinners, knitters and crocheters to demonstrate their skills at this event. We will again have a table and a loom in the school house arena. The event takes place at the Lakewood Heritage Center, 801 S. Yarrow Street, Lakewood, CO 80226. Dates and times are as follows:

10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016
10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2016

Parking is free and all demonstrators get free admission to this event. Please send an email to outreach@rmweaversguild.org to let Cherie know if you are interested in this event. We need to send the organizers our list of artisans by September 26th (so that we get you admission passes in a timely matter). This is a fun event with lots of local guild participation, cider tastings and viewing of historical artifacts. We hope to have many of you signing up to showcase your skills and talent to the public!

Denver County Fair Winners!

Hey kids! Results from the Denver County Fair — 1st and 2nd place for knitting. Sounds more impressive than it is, as there weren’t very many entrants, but I’ll take it!
