This 6 day workshop starts each morning with a drumming ceremony followed by
personal instruction and guidance in all aspects of Navajo Weaving from Warping to Finish.
Because this is an experience as much about Culture as it is about Weaving
we have arranged 4 after-hours events to immerse you further into this Lifestyle.
1) Visit to private collection of historical rugs
2) Visit to a Churro Sheep ranch with a lecture about how this breed was saved thru
the efforts of a small group of Hispano-Navajo breeders.
3) Dinner at a private home on Rancho L Fina with traditional Northern New Mexico
food and discussion of how this evolved in connection with the land.
4) Taos Pueblo yearly Pow Wow starts Friday after class, and many stay to attend.
